The Inn at Àird a’ Bhàsair Reviews

Just spent 2 night hogmanay break with my husband, brother in law and sister in law and their dog Charlie and it was fantastic from start to finish, all the staff were great especially Geraldine and Ally they could not do enough for you, the food was amazing and there was a lot of it, would definitely go back and would recommend it for a visit

Great inn located on Isle of Skye! The staff was very accommodating and stayed late for our arrival. Still friendly and cheerful after a long day and late night. Our rooms were quaint and clean. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this inn for anyone staying on Isle of Skye!

We visited the Inn twice whilst staying in Skye, once for lunch and once in the evening. Both visits were excellent-food was delicious and staff so helpful and welcoming. The pan fried sea bass, smoked haddock and pea chowder was out of this world.

We stayed there for one night ( 4 people, 2 rooms) and it was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Both rooms were sea view and the views were amazing to wake up to. The restaurant was excellent with great staff. The menu has a great variety of food. 2 of us are vegetarian and it was fantastic to have multiple items on the many to choose from ( highly recommended their veggie burger!) They had a lovely breakfast as well that was included in the price of the room. Would definitely stay there again!

We were greeted by Geraldine and Nelly the lovely labrador. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of trees and wildflowers. Dinner at the Inn was good and it was very nice to have quite a few vegetarian options. We had the grilled halloumi salad, nachos, and we both went for the veggie linguine which was tasty. Finished off with a cheesecake special, our bellies were full and happy after a very rainy walk. Everyone at the inn was super friendly and happy to have a chat and we both felt very welcome and looked after. We traveled without a car and the castle and various walks were easily accessible on the footpaths. The next day it took us 15 minutes to walk to the ferry terminal with our suitcases which was brilliant! Recommend you resting your head or popping in for a meal or a drink at the bar on your travels. We wished that we had stayed longer than one night!

Just back from a lovely two night stay. Beautiful location, brilliant room, excellent staff who made us feel so welcome. Can only name Geraldine and Connor but everyone else was extremely pleasant. We ate off the DBB menu the first night – cullen skink, venison then fruit crumble. Second night off the main menu but we only managed two courses this time round. As some of the seafood dishes were sold out I asked if they would oblige by doing a smoked duck salad starter size for me which they kindly did and then I went for the crab linguine which was delicious. Other half skipped the starters (he was still full from the wonderful breakfast) so had smoked duck salad as a main followed by three scoops of ice cream. Thanks so much everyone – we loved our stay.

Booked a table in the restaurant for a Tuesday evening in early November since we were staying very nearby. Three of us dining. All of us chose the scallops as a starter. They were excellent. Various main courses: for me a ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. My wife had haddock and chips which was first class. The other dish was sole, also very good. Two puddings we’re chosen, an excellent panna cotta and cranachan. I had a selection of local cheeses, washed down with a wee dram of the local malt. Good beer too. If we’re ever back in this part of Skye, we’ll be back.

We were looking for somewhere for a snack lunch before catching the early afternoon ferry to Mallaig and came across this excellent inn which perfectly fitted our needs. The menu extended well beyond our modest toasted sandwiches, but the quality was very good as we sat in the restaurant overlooking the beautiful Sound of Sleat. Looked like a nice place to stay for a break, although we can’t verify the bedrooms.

We booked in for the 2 night Hogmanay package and loved it.
Food was amazing, outstanding service and fabulously friendly staff.
Shout outs to Ally and Geraldine and the chef for catering to my slightly fussy family.
First time on Skye and it didn’t disappoint.
Beautiful place and the Inn is a wee gem.
Clean, warm and comfortable.
Great gin & whisky too, what’s not to like.

I visited here twice, for food, during my stay in Ardvasar. Both times the staff were very friendly, and helpful, and the food was delicious and well priced (possibly one of the best Haggis Pizzas I’ve had 🙂)
Highly recommend a visit if your in the area x
